My systemic training and experience allows me to view individual clients as part of a larger system. This informs my work with individuals that can help to simultaneously reduce shame and encourage taking accountability. I help clients recognize and utilize their natural strengths as well as overcome and find creative solutions to challenges they face.
I am appreciative of my diverse experiences working with couples that inform my therapeutic approach. I have worked with premarital couples in college, couples experiencing anticipatory grief at the end of life, couples working to co-parent in blended families, and couples learning to set boundaries in open relationships. I have completed Gottman I and II training and often draw from this modality when working with couples.
Family therapy is a wonderful opportunity to model self expression, emotional vulnerability, problem-solving skills, and emotional regulation. Family therapy also provides a designated time for family connection each week without distractions. I have experience working with blended families, grieving families, and families with children diagnosed with ASD.
I offer nature-based therapy in the local Marshall, TX area. My core belief is that our relationship with nature facilitates healing and growth while broadening our perspective of our internal and external worlds. I have completed a 42-hour training course, Collaborations with the Natural World, through Somatic Wilderness Therapy Institute as well as a 5-day Wild Grief Backpacking and Bereavement training through Center for Nature Informed Therapy that bolster my nature-based practice.
To make services more accessible, I offer virtual sessions to individuals, couples, and families across Texas, Colorado, and Ohio. These sessions are provided via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.
